Branch Manager

Greencarrier Consolidators in Norway are looking for a Branch Manager with a commercial mindset, experience from container shipping and effective leadership skills.

As our business operations in Norway is in an expansive phase you will play a crucial role setting up the local organization, developing work-processes, infrastructure, expanding our value proposition as well as maintaining and building customer relations.

About the role

As branch Manager you are responsible for the business operations, sales activities, and financial result for the branch.

Key responsibilities

  • Bring a leadership that spreads engagement, involvement, and motivation.
  • Take ownership for the full P/L and performance of the Branch and if needed, act to meet budgeted defined KPI’s within the Branch.
  • Grow the business, client base, accounts, and strategic relationships in line with company policies.
  • Manage agent/client relationships and identify new opportunities.
  • Drive improvement initiatives and develop efficient work processes and routines.
  • Establish annual budget and local business activities.
  • Through coaching leadership, motivate and develop the employees in your team.
  • Manage and distribute work in the office in line with company policies and values.

What is your background?

To succeed in this role, you should have experience from P&L management and minimum 5 years’ experience in freight forwarding, preferably from container shipping/co-loading.

You find it easy to build relationships, enjoy developing and leading others and are good at setting up routines and processes that creates efficiency. We are looking for a team player that likes to cooperate with others to reach common goals.

The ideal candidate is a person with strong commercial and customer interest. You are motivated by building new business relationships and creating new opportunities to expand our business. You have great negotiation skills, are service minded, and have great social abilities.

You should be able to manage customer and our networks through teamwork, networking, communication, and collaboration. All in the spirit of our company values; commitment, involvement, humour and joy!

The position requires good knowledge of Norwegian and English, and that you are an experienced IT user. Previous experience working in Cargowise is an advantage.
